THE JOURNEY

Begin among Beijing’s palaces before travelling by high-speed rail to Luoyang and Xi’an. Shaolin’s monastery courtyards and Longmen’s cliff carvings bring Buddhist history into the journey, which ends in Shanghai.

Beyond Beijing’s palace halls, this route takes you to places where history lives in a monastery courtyard and in figures carved into a cliff. Shaolin and Longmen sit between two former capitals, with the Terracotta Army and a Buddhist pagoda waiting in Xi’an. A flight brings you to Shanghai for garden paths, old-city streets and the Bund. We refine the connections and walking plans around your group and the confirmed services.
