Start with the courtyards of imperial Beijing and the individual faces of Xi’an’s Terracotta Army. Then board in Chongqing and let the Yangtze set the pace for three nights, taking in the Three Gorges, visits ashore and life aboard the ship. In Shanghai, Yu Garden and the Bund bring a different view of China beside the water. City touring and transfers are private; cruise activities and shore visits are shared with the ship’s groups.
